Who We Are

At Care in Action for Malawi we understand that education is a key to escaping poverty. Our goal is to see bright and hardworking young people become Nurses, Teachers or gain skills, despite their background, and we have the expertise to make this happen.

Partnerships

Working with trustworthy Malawian partners is key to our success. The community based organisations we work with understand local people and needs and have earned their trust. We have methods in place so we can make a positive, lasting impact at a low cost.

Our partnership with Care in Action e.V. (in Germany) will help us reach as many children and youth as possible in Malawi. We will coordinate funding to complement each other’s work, as they also support Study Sponsorship and Community Projects.

Expertise in Malawi

Founder Jasmine Lehnis-Leitao has local knowledge and contacts gained from fifteen years of managing development work while living in Malawi.

These are our principles for funding:

1. Meet our purpose to improve education, wellbeing and decent work for those in need in Malawi, with priority given to children and young people

2. Create positive impact on individuals and communities that will remain after funding ends

3. Provide evidence to show that funds were used efficiently and as intended

4. Collaborate with trustworthy local partners and consider Malawian perspectives
