Graduated: BSc in Optometry at University of Mzuzu
Brighton is a determined and thoughtful young man from Zomba, Malawi. From an early age Brighton faced hardship when he lost his father at just one year old. He was raised by his mother—a resilient woman who supported the family by selling vegetables in the local market.
Despite financial challenges, Brighton excelled in secondary school, where he was known for his enthusiasm in youth discussions, school activities, and sports. Outside the classroom, he loved exploring local landscapes and attending Christian gatherings, which continue to shape his values and outlook on life.
After leaving secondary school, Brighton worked as a salesperson, gaining practical business experience and sharpening his communication skills. Now, with the support of Care in Action, Brighton is pursuing his ambition of a career in Healthcare - more specifically by graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Optometry from Mzuzu University.
